Teacher Training Course

An on-going Teacher Training Course is run at our school. This is not only for students who want to become teachers, but also for long term students who are interested in exploring the subject more thoroughly.

The main focus is on encouraging and inspiring participants to develop their own practice beyond the scope of attending classes. It begins with the understanding that learning to practise is at the heart of yoga study.

Aside from this we will focus more deeply on the execution (and teaching) of individual asanas and pranayamas, explore and study yoga philosophy, and learn the skills and responsibilities required to teach an Iyengar yoga class. Over time this course will fulfill the requirements necessary to present for assessment to become a certified Iyengar yoga teacher.

It is held on the third Saturday of each month from 12 – 4.30pm. New intakes are in April and October each year and an upfront 6 month commitment is expected. Please email or call the school for more information if you are interested.
